Ruse was everything we imagined and then more – small, beautiful and very classic in its architecture.  The cafe lifestyle was very evident (yes, OK it was summer and lots of homegrown tourists) but just fabulous.  Although we only had the day there it is certainly somewhere we will want to explore in more detail.  To see the Opera House in the plaza was great – it looked so grand!

Dinner on the Danube with Nigel and Joanne was spectacular too – a real 5 star treat – and ridiculously inexpensive with great service.  We’ll be going back there for sure!
